Description
Air in or out
The Osto-EZ-Vent® (air valve) is the answer to problems that often occur with a stoma, namely: ballooning and vacuum creation. This handy air valve lets air in or out.
Ballooning
With ballooning, the pouch bulges, meaning there is more air in the pouch than the regular filter can process. The Osto-EZ-Vent® (air valve) offers a solution to this, as it makes it very easy to let (excessive) air out of the pouch, repeatedly. This has a positive effect on the pouch's comfort.
Creating a vacuum
When a vacuum is created there is a suction effect from the stoma. Via the Osto-EZ-Vent® (air valve), air can be let into the ostomy pouch. This improves the comfort of the pouch, and increases the time it can be worn.
